John Olah - A Victory for the Environment in Halton Region

Clear-cutting almost 10 hectares of trees to build an exclusive nine-hole golf course has cost Milton businessman George Vastis $155,260.

Beard Winter lawyer, John Olah was appointed special prosecuter in the case and called the decision a victory for the environment.

"It is a strong statement of deterrence," he said. "It tells others that the courts support the environment."
