Alex represents clients on a variety of insurance litigation matters including occupiers’ liability claims, product liability claims, motor vehicle accident claims, first-party accident benefits claims, priority and loss transfer disputes, and coverage disputes. He regularly appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the License Appeal Tribunal. He also has experience assisting on a number of trials, appeals, and arbitrations.
Alex prides himself on his attention to detail, but he is also cognizant of the high costs of litigation. Though not averse to appearing in court or at a tribunal, he strives to provide his clients with creative, pragmatic and cost-effective solutions.
Alex received his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Philosophy from the University of Toronto and his Juris Doctor from Western University. During law school, he volunteered with the Elgin-Oxford Legal Clinic, a community legal clinic where he provided pro bono legal services to low-income residents.
In his free time, Alex enjoys coaching, playing and watching a number of sports – particularly hockey, baseball and basketball.
