It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Richard Winter, K.C., on January 28.

A distinguished lawyer and respected leader, Richard was one of the founding partners of Beard Winter LLP and served as its Managing Partner from 1967 to 1989. He retired from the firm on December 31, 2017, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism, integrity, and dedication to the practice of law.

Throughout his long career, Richard helped shape the culture and values of the firm he helped build. His contributions extended beyond the practice of law, leaving a lasting impression on those who had the privilege of working with him.

We extend our deepest condolences to Victoria Winter and family. He will be remembered with great respect and gratitude for his leadership, integrity, and enduring contributions to the firm and the legal profession.

Funeral service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, February 18th at St Jude’s Church, 160 William St, Oakville, ON L6J 1C5.  A reception at the Church will take place immediately following the service.
