Beard Winter obtains $50,000 security for costs order

Written by: David A. Decker

On November 13, 2019, Beard Winter commercial litigation partner David Decker obtained an order from the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on behalf of clients Vito Frijia, Southside Construction  Management Limited, Summit Series Celebration Inc., Ron Ellis and Team of ’72 Representation Inc. requiring Pro Property, the plaintiff shell corporation, to post security for costs in the amount of $50,000.00. In exercising the court’s discretion, the court did not accept Pro Property’s argument that it was impecunious.
